Hope that everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!
The students have been doing outstanding in school. They met Oscar Orange at school this week. They have learned many words that begin with the letter "o." Some words were: overalls, off, on, over, ox, otter, orange, oats, oatmeal, oh,
ok, ornaments.
The students love our classroom Christmas tree. Thank you to Dominique's family. Our tree looks lovely with the ornaments and lights! Thank you to Ethan's family for bringing in the ornaments and to Tyler's family for the lights. Our classroom is looking festive and fabulous!
Miss D"Alfonso lead an art project where the students made paper ornaments for the paper Christmas tree
in our classroom.
We have been discussing that during this season of Advent we are patiently waiting for the coming of Jesus. We have an advent board where each day a special advent message is posted.
The students have learned about St. Nicholas whose Feast Day was on Saturday, December 5
th. St. Nicholas loved children and a long, long, time ago use to leave special treats for boys and girls in their shoes. Ms. O'Connor made each student a special decorated shoe with a candy cane inside.
We went to Mass on Friday morning with our 6
th grade buddies and will be attending Mass also on Tuesday morning, December 8th for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.
This year we will have an all school Christmas program on Tuesday evening, December 15
th at 7:00 p.m. The kindergarten students will be doing a yoga performance dressed up as angels. Please have an angel costume for your child and bring into school in a bag labeled with your child's name by Friday, December 11
th so that we can have it for our dress
rehearsal. Please have a long white gown or shirt or angel costume for your child. You can order an angel costume from the website
www.OrientalTrading.com . If anyone would like me to see any first grade parents would like to donate or let us borrow their child's angel costume from last year please email me and I will email a first grade parent for you.
Thank you,

Miss Trout
