Thanksgiving Potluck

Kindergarten had a lovely time at our Plentiful Plant Potluck. We have been learning about plants in science and got to eat many vegetables at our potluck.
We have been studying the letter "g" this week at school. We have been learning about gratitude. The children are grateful for many things especially God, their parents, their family and friends and for their teachers and their school. I am grateful to be a kindergarten teacher and teach such great students. Thank you for all those who joined us at the potluck!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Happy Friday!
Hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend.
We enjoyed meeting everyone at conferences and are grateful that we have the opportunity to teach such great kids!
This week at school we met Wicked Water Witch and last week we meet Impy Ink. The students have been making such progress and are eager to learn. The students have learned many "w" words that ask questions. We have learned the words: who, what, when, where and why? The students have learned that when they write a question to put a question mark at the end.
Everyone has been writing their letters and words nice and neat! Practice! Practice! Practice! Encouraging your children to be creative and make their own little books will help them with their writing and reading skills.
The students did an art project with their 6th grade buddies. Now our classroom is filled with turkeys...we are getting ready for Thanksgiving. We have been discussing the concept of being grateful and how there are so many things that we can be thankful for each day.
We will be having a Kindergarten Thanksgiving Potluck this year:
When: Tuesday, November 24th at 1:45 p.m
Where: Kindergarten classroom
Why: to give thanks and build community
What to bring? A sign up sheet will be put up next week at dismissal
Thank you for all your donations to the wish list!
